Peiyao Sheng

I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, currently a visiting researcher at Princeton University, advised by Prof. Pramod Viswanath. I have interned at Chainlink Labs, where I was advised by Dr. Dahlia Malkhi. My research focuses on the foundational scientific and engineering topics that are crucial to blockchains being ubiquitous in society. The practical applications of my research are exemplified by Witness Chain, a startup I am building to unify DePIN economy.

I received the Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in ACM Honors Class, Zhiyuan College. I was a research intern at UIUC advised by Prof. Bo Li. In SJTU, I worked on Automatic Speech Recognition and Machine Learning with Prof. Kai Yu and Prof. Yanmin Qian in SpeechLab.
